The wisdom of Ayurveda keeps our mind, body and spirit in balance with nature. The tradition of Ayurveda rests on our ability to digest not only our food, but our thoughts, memories and impressions. In our hectic, fast-paced lifestyle, moving out of balance happens easily.
A consultation allows you to have a personalized evaluation based on a thorough intake and assessment. Together, we will look at the the information gathered to discover your Nature (Prakriti) and possible underlying causes of Imbalance (Vikruti). Based on our sessions, you will be given guidance and practices to restore balance and promote self-healing. Viewing the body as a holistic, integrated system, Ayurveda uses food, herbs, yoga, and many other lifestyle habits/choices as medicine.
A Mind Body Balance Consultation is bundled in 3 sessions:
- Session #1: 60-75 minute Initial Consultation with intake and assessment to discuss areas that need some balance and 1-2 recommendations for your practice.
- Session #2: 30-45 minute follow-up session a couple of weeks after your initial consultation to gauge your progress with the information and practices from your first session and you’ll be given more in-depth practices for your home-play.
- Session #3: email or phone session 6-8 weeks later as a check-in to see how you are doing, what support is needed and which practices need to be adjusted.
COST: $130.00 for the entire bundle (all 3 sessions)
$65.00 for additional one-hour follow-up, as needed.
WHO THIS IS FOR AND WHY: This is for anyone seeking to create more balance and healing in their lives, no matter the issue. Maybe you are feeling stuck or doing things that aren’t working. Whatever is going on in your life, we all need support on a holistic level. Perhaps you are struggling with insomnia or stress; maybe your digestion is out of balance or you are just feeling disconnected in your life. No prior experience or knowledge in Yoga or Ayurveda is necessary, and these wisdom traditions are easily adaptable to anyone’s schedule, lifestyle and comfort-level.
YOGA
Traditional Mat Sessions
No previous yoga experience is required, but you should be able to get up and down off of the floor with relative ease. I teach beginner to intermediate level instruction and work with where you are. Mats and yoga props are available, but please bring your own mat if you have it. Dress comfortably to allow freedom of movement and body coverage (no running shorts, please) and refrain from eating at least 2 hours prior to your session.
Chair Yoga is a modified form of yoga where poses are practiced seated in a chair or standing yoga poses using the chair for stability and support. Chair Yoga sessions are ideal for:
- Those who have difficulty getting up and down from the floor.
- Those who have limitations in flexibility and coordination with traditional standing or seated yoga poses.
- Seniors who need a safer alternative for movement and stretching.
- Those who are recovering from an injury or illness and need a gentler alternative to movement during their time of healing and recovery.
- Anyone intimidated by a traditional mat yoga class can start with chair yoga to build their confidence and familiarity with yoga poses and to transition to a traditional class and build their personal practice with ease.
Chair Yoga has many benefits as a traditional yoga session, but with reduced risk of falls. Benefits include:

How to Schedule: Lotus Tree Massage and Wellness offers traditional Yoga and Chair Yoga in an Open Session format. Schedule an hour with me just as you would schedule a massage. This is flexibility on your terms. All yoga services can be scheduled on-line. Visit the “Schedule Now” tab on this site to begin your Yoga journey. All levels welcome. Pricing: All Yoga Sessions (Traditional Mat or Chair Yoga) are 60 Minutes.
